The eighth of the Talks on Migration series took place on December 13, 2021, at Bilkent University.
Prof. Dr. Sanem Baykal was the keynote speaker of this session.
Professor gave a speech titled “The Concepts of Migration, Sustainable and Green Economy in the Discussions on the Future of the EU and Their Legal Effects on Turkey”.
A very eye-opening Q&A session was carried out at the end of the speech.

On December 9, 2021, the conference on European Integration and Migration was held via Zoom at Atatürk University.
The conference has started with the Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gülüm Özçelik’s opening speech.
In the first session, Prof. Dr. Sanem Baykal gave a speech titled “The Concept of Immigration and its Effects in the Context of the Turkey-EU Relations”.
Then Dr. Mustafa Tayfun Üstün talked about combatting irregular migration and European Border Surveillance System (Eurosur).
Following that, Dr. Hatice Türkay delivered a speech on the “The Protection of Internally Displaced People within the Framework of International Law.
In the las session, Akif Atlı covered the topics of “Migration” and “Cohesion”.
Finally, a Q&A session has been carried out. Overall it has been a very productive and fruitful conference! We hope to see you at other talks and conferences.
